"Gamification as a Learning Platform" 3D/2D game - Thesis Project

Computer Engineering bachelor's degree final thesis project about the research potential behind using mechanics and methods from the Gamification concept to make education more efficient and effective. The term "gamification" means the application of typical elements of game playing (e.g. point scoring, competition with others, rules of play) to other areas of activity, typically as an online marketing technique to encourage engagement with a product or service.

This interactive platform, developed in the Unity engine and C# programming language, provides a "root scene" (3D scene) where the main character, an alien princess that came to earth to learn about solidarity from the humans; would be able to walk around the environment and encounter logic problems in the shape of 2D mini puzzle games where she'd help a human in need (in this case: a farmer in the classic River-crossing puzzle).

I was incharge of the implementation of the mechanics, game design, level design, 3D models importing and animations; and character design.
