My name is Enrique Perez Soler and I am Spanish Software Engineer currently working as a Game Developer in Stockholm, Sweden. And I'm loving every second of it!
But funny thing about me, I'm also an artist and have been nurturing my drawing skills since a very young age with the hopes I could some day use them in a professional level whether it'd be in the Animation or the Video Game industry!
I have been selftaught in traditional art (color pencils and ink sketching) since I was a kid and my main focus at first was in superheroes and comicbook art. In 2017 I bought my first drawing tablet and began to draw digitally.
In 2018 I participated in 2 video game projects as concept/visual artist, 3D modeller and animator. One of them was "TIMELAPSE" a 2.5D rhythm shooter game I did with a group of 7 international students in university (link: https://projecttimelapse.wordpress.com/ ) and the other was "The Cimmerian Island" a VR/Pixelsense light-sensitive screen co-op horrror game, this one we presented to the Swedish C Awards 2018 and got nominated for "Best Interaction Design" and "Technical Excellence" (We didn't win, but it was quite the experience! For my Computer Engineering Bachelor Degree thesis project I designed a game that used the mechanics of Gamification as an alternative method for teaching in schools. It didn't turn out as good as I thought because I had to be the programmer, artist, level designer and the project became a bit overwhelming given the deadline established. Since 2019 I've focused on creating my own drawing style as well as my own original art. Additionally, I have expanded my interests and have embarked (and will embark) on the learning of storyboarding, 2D/3D modeling, character design and animation; and screenplay writting; to push forward my storytelling and personal projects of mine involving storytelling.
